Marianne Hérard is an urban anthropologist. She works as a research engineer at MSH Paris Nord and is an associate researcher in the Alter – Altérité et Territoires team (UMR 7218 LAVUE). Her research focuses on the representations and practices of urban and suburban inhabitants and users. She is particularly interested in the plight of the most vulnerable sections of the population and the singularity of places.
